Creekside Kennel is a country boarding and daycare experience designed for every breed of dog. Led by dog trainer and veterinary technician Dawn Niebuhr, Creekside focuses on what dogs need and want when away from home. Our attentive staff carefully pairs each dog’s personality and unique traits with activities that engage and excite.
Nestled in the peaceful woods of Rensselaer County, our modern, yet rustic facility offers a safe and serene environment that is perfect for play, as well as relaxation. Our camp-like environment encourages dogs to thrive both physically and mentally, and we strive to make every guest feel safe, loved and happy.
Your dog or cat will play as much as they want all day and snooze the night away at our tranquil country location. We treat them like family, because they are! Owner Dawn Niebuhr unquestionably has a deep connection with dogs from all walks of life. In addition to managing Creekside Kennel, she has bred, trained and competed in field, obedience and conformation trials at American Kennel Club (AKC) events.
“Sebastian has such a good time when he is at Creekside that I never even give it a second thought anymore. He sees it as “playtime” and when we get there he goes right over to the door to the kennel – doesn’t even look back. Dawn treats him like one of her own and we actually refer to Creekside as “camp”. I get to bring all his bedding and whatever toys we want, and the playtime 2x a day is a lifesaver for him. Creekside is Sebastian’s home away from home!”
"Creekside Kennel is home away from home for our dog, Eddie. Knowing that he is in such good hands gives us the peace of mind to be able to schedule occasional overnight trips. We take mini-vacations and Eddie goes to 'camp' which seems to suit him fine. He loves the heated kennel floor. Eddie is a senior citizen and requires daily medication. Dawn and her staff take his care seriously and that makes it easy to relax while we're away."
